Answers of the Day.

Merry Christmas!

Anyway, to answer my own question posted a long time ago, which our kind friend Mr Chai has answered, about Man being born evil or good, my take is that we would all like to believe we are born good. Who likes being evil anyway? But I believe we have all entertained evil thoughts before--how many times have we thought, "I want to kill her." To have such thoughts cross your mind says something about Man, and if there weren't laws governing behaviour, you may have killed her. For more information, you can read THIS, quite interesting. (:

In reply to whether it would be better to be male or female, I think it does not really matter. Like I heard from one of those talk shows, this person made a comment saying that whether you are male or female, you need to be able to play the role of both sexes. Meaning, a father needs to learn how to cook, do the housework, in addition to making ends meet whereas a mother needs to learn to make a living and survive on her own, in addition to her socially prescribed roles of child rearing and doing the household chores. We are no longer living in the olden days where one sex dominates. Women have proven themselves to be capable--they merely need the chances. A male may say NS is tough, he has to give up his freedom, his family, and perhaps even his life to defend the country in times of need. Is a woman then not required to put her life at risk when she gives birth? Some may say, well, the woman can choose not to give birth. Can't the man not choose to defend the country then? There is a way to do everything, and it all boils down to one word--choice.

Intriguing questions of the day, I hope you have given these issues some thought. While it may not seem as pressing as ice caps melting and flooding low-lying islands plus polar bears dying, I realise that these questions often have ambiguous answers. That's the beauty of the arts, we don't only see black and white, we see the grey areas and acknowledge their existence.

Sometimes, there isn't only two sides to a coin. If you stare hard enough, you can see the third side.

MOF2 says Merry Christmas! (:
Question of the day: How to cure a semi-sore throat? (Meaning going to be sore but not sore yet?)
