Emotionless.

A friend shared a report she saw on the news about how we are ranked the most emotionless country in the world. So since I am too lazy to revise for exams, I decided to read the article.

So I guess we are really cold and unfeeling. But wait a minute.

You from the US are supposed to be more emotional. But I think I am more emotional than Samson. How can you be 18% more emotional than me.

So I conclude that the results of this poll is not true.

Can't wait to open one.

Saw THIS on TV a long time ago and the idea has always been at the back of my mind.

The Museum of Broken Relationships (Croatian: Muzej prekinutih veza) is a museum dedicated to failed love relationships. Its exhibits are personal objects left over from former lovers which are accompanied by brief descriptions. At first a traveling collection of donated items, the museum has since found a permanent location in Zagreb, Croatia. In 2011, the Museum of Broken Relationships received the Kenneth Hudson Award for the most innovative museum in Europe.

It would be worth a visit I guess!

Supermemory.

THIS was an article presented on by one of my classmates that day, entitled Exceptional Memory Explained: How Some People Remember What They Had for Lunch 20 Years Ago. It talks about how some people can remember every single detail of their life, and how they memory doesn't seem to erode with time. We always wished to remember every piece of information esp nearing the exams, and I never thought that such abilities could have negative effects as well. I guess the most irritating part of this ability would be that negative memories would be remembered with the same intensity and detail, which makes it really hard to get over bad experiences/events.

I read somewhere else in my evolutionary psychology textbook about why memories are not infallible. Why we are absent-minded (cuz it helps direct attention to more important things), why we don't remember things as accurately (cuz we sometimes remember things which put us in a good light for our own self-esteem) etc. And what left an impression on me was why memories are persistent. It argues that such negative memories serve the purpose of reminding us not to make the same mistakes again. Which is true when we think of how sometimes we try so hard to not remember the bad stuff but it just comes to your mind time and again.

It's kind of saddening then, if we do have such an ability to remember every single detail. I suddenly am full of admiration for our brain. So amazing.

Logged into the school site to do a last forum posting but was so uninspired so I shall just leave it as that. I am disgusted with myself for not putting in more effort but I'm so sick of it all already. It just drags on and on and on and on. #likeadragqueen I want to graduate.

It's raining.

Since I got my S3, I've started saving nice pictures/cartoons/comics/images in my phone so that I can look at them when I'm bored to make myself feel happy.

It's raining now and I made the mistake of switching on my com so I am writing something here. I just realised Wordpress is also banned in China so looks like I got to look for another way to communicate with you earthlings. Wanted to try to get a Weibo but I wasn't in the mood to read Chinese characters last night so too bad. But I'm still very excited about getting a Weibo HAHAHAHAHA. Say it with me, Weibo. Weibo. Weibo.
