流沙包

Today I had a craving for this:

I had it once at Bruce Cafe in NUS and it was awesomeeeeeee. For the ignorant (HAHA, don't worry I was once ignorant too, I only knew it in recent years), this is called 流沙包. The yellowish filling is supposed to be custard and molten salted egg yolk. When eaten warm, the contents is supposed to flow out!

I tried it twice in HK but I didn't know you had to eat it immediately to see it flow out. If you wait too long, the contents may harden. And so both times I tried, it didn't flow out so I was super disappointed.

So today I had the craving again and I went all the way to Bruce Cafe in the island of Utown. AND. THEY. TOLD. ME. IT. WAS. SOLD. OUT. :( Mega sad. And it didn't help that I had to order something (since I was there and it'll be a little embarrassing if I didn't order anything), and I ended up with 3 pieces of carrot cake. I only wanted one, but it's another story. ZZZZzzzzz.
