Spotlight Effect (from Wikipedia) People tend to assume their features and behaviours are more salient to others than what they generally are. This is termed the Spotlight effect, the tendency to believe that other people are paying closer attention to one's appearance and behaviour than they really are.
Example: You go into class late and you think everyone is looking at you but in fact no one is.
Example 2: You fall down/embarass yourself/wrap wire around your neck and think everyone is looking at you and laughing but in fact no one cares.
So next time when you do something embarassing don't worry too much. It's just the Spotlight effect. Then again, the Spotlight effect does not apply to people like Waisin (I know he's camping now, can't read this!). Waisin, if you wrap wires around your neck and think everyone is looking at you, the fact is people ARE. If you fall down/do something embarassing and think people are laughing at you, people ARE.
Sometimes, I think I'm so mean to Waisin. HAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHHA.
