CNY has come and (almost) gone. At least there aren't any more public holidays for this celebration. CNY is like a routined thing for me. Special cuz we get a holiday (now that everyone's working we appreciate such holidays more), but predictable because we do the usual stuff. From chu xi to shi wu, I know exactly when and what will happen. Some of these days, we are going to bai tian gong and lao yu sheng. But steamboat days are finally over and this is something to be happy about.
However, I see the effects of recession this festive season. For one, fewer people are giving us goodies, hence less containers of tidbits are available for the visitors. Angpows (from people who do not give me $4) shrunk. It's understandable, of course, and I feel sad for them more than disappointed for myself. I appreciate people who put in effort to use red packets with meanings for each of my siblings. It is rather meaningful I feel. I read somewhere in the papers about giving angpows. The bottomline is, give whatever you can afford. And that pretty much sums up my stand about angpow giving.
Ah, so much for CNY. I still want to eat cornflake cookies though. My sis hasn't found it and the more she mentions about it, the more I start to crave for it. .__. LOL.
And no tuition today! I feel so happy! (: An extra rest day! Yay.
So much for CNY. The deadline for the Follower of the Month competition is drawing near! Have you submited your application yet? Hurry! Before it all ends!
Signing off, MOF2 says HUAT ARH.
