有些人 我们把他留在回忆里 是为了要藉由他们 来怀念当时的自己

As we age, we look back more often. We have learnt, matured, grown. We have lost, hurt and been hurt. We urge ourselves to move on from the past, from the bad memories. But we rarely succeed entirely.

Recently, an ex-student came to visit. I genuinely could not remember him. At all. Then I felt scared. I feared my memory is slowly failing me and would completely fail me one day. Good memories, bad memories, all gone.

That would be disastrous. I don't want to forget.
