Finally, the series of programs to welcome the angmoh has finally ended. The organising team and volunteers have really worked very hard, and it was really touching to see everything being put together and events running smoothly.
For me, I've learnt a lot more about my country. I've learnt to love SG a lot more. It makes me very proud when I sit near MBS and look at our skyline and in my head I go, "Did we really create that???" I'm so so proud of my country for the amazing things it can do. I've also learnt to love NUS a bit more.
I wanted to write a post in Chinese, cuz I thought it would all sound better in Chinese. But the software I'm using is so stupid they don't auto suggest phrases and they don't arrange the words in order of the most common to least common. So to type one simple character I have to scroll through a list. Which makes it irritating for me and good for you potato-eating men/chao ang mohs who can't read Chinese.
That was a random digression. I'm really happy that I put in more effort into know-the-angmohs in this semester. At the end of the day, it's still meaningful and fulfilling. :) The year seems to have started well!
