The Axis of Awesome: The Four-Chord Song! Very amazing, they used four chords and sang a few songs. The video starts with them saying that they never had a hit because they never wrote a four-chord song. (:
And Survivor's over, very sad. Am overcome by this sense of loss again! :( I'm trying to view all the videos, read all the interviews and try to enjoy every last moment of the season. It would be really interesting to try to explore the psychology of the game, the players, the finalists, the jury, and even the viewers. Why do people so badly want others to see their point? I read a couple of forums, a couple of sites, and people just keep commenting, as if trying to prove a point. I'm not saying it's wrong just because I don't do it, I just don't see the point of doing it because we each support a certain finalist for our own reasons. And I find it amusing that people can judge others so harshly when they barely know the survivors. We do not see the whole picture no matter how many times we watch the show (the power of editing), and being overly critical of people (esp evil players, and no I'm not trying to stand up for Russell, people criticise Sandra for winning too) do not make the haters any better. Why are they even doing that? In what ways does it value-add to their own lives?
In my opinion, I like Survivor cuz it's not black and white. The good doesn't always win, the evil doesn't always triumph. Behaviour on the stranded island cannot be generalised onto one's behaviour in real life, because conditions are definitely not the same. There are almost no laws (almost because viewers still judge) to govern behaviour there, unlike in real life. To win you have to be evil in some way, just that the extent differs from player to player. Some merely form evil thoughts, some do what they think, some do what they think aggressively, and that spectrum of evilness makes the game beautiful to watch. At the end of the day, we are but humans. Who knows if put in the same condition will you not do the same thing(s)? Never give a definite no, because really, you'll never know.
Aiyoh, that's 2 paragraphs of Survivor for you. I really like Dalton Ross' witty comments on his blog. Very funny! So Seeing and GYM can click on the link. Don't say you have no time to read, it takes a mere three mins to read and if you switch on your com I don't see how an extra three mins will kill you. (:
Uni Guide 101 is still in the making. I'll speed up the making since I got my laptop back already! And I'm going to HK soon, can't wait to bring lots and lots of souvenirs!
And people, Ah Sin is NOT coming back for Summer Holidays. ;) (You owe me one!) Ask him why, don't ask me. I can't say anything about it. HAHAHA. Let's just play along, shall we?
