So that you can have an effective recess week. Play can wait till Dec when all our exams are over. Gathering again! (:
Anyway, if you haven't rested, or felt that AH, WHERE GOT TIME TO REST, DON'T CRAP LAH, don't forget you are resting now by reading the blog! I'm going to attempt to interest you in a series of optical illusions I've seen at psychology lecture. Try them, I bet you'll be amused! Explanations/comments will be hidden (I'll try lah, hor. You know I'm low tech.) so that I don't spoil the effect. Just highlight the words and I think you should be able to see! Also, scroll down slowly so you don't see the answers before you see the illusions!
1. The Muller-Lyer Illusion: Look at the two red lines. Which is longer? (:
As you might have guess, they are of the same length. I was pretty amused by this, cuz in my textbook the diagram was a lot better. The Zulus in South Africa were able to see both lines as of the same length. Explanation was that they had a more "circular culture". Their houses, doors, windows were circular. Maybe we should take a break from straight, ninety degree buildings. (:2. The Checkerboard Illusion: Look at squares A and B, which is darker?

They are of the same shade of gray! Don't believe? I didn't too! Evidence below!

Amazing right! :D Teehee. Now, the last one...
3. Awareness Test: Count the number of passes made by the white team.
Did you see the gorilla? I didn't on the first try though. A friend of mine had seen the video before and was tricked again! HAHA.
Tag if you do!
Okay, that's for now! I'm tired like a flat tyre so let's good night and sleep tight and conquer this thing called mid-terms! JIAYOU!
MOF2 signs off. SEEING, is not always BELIEVING.
